In the framework of the Grenoble Graduate School in Chemistry, Biology and Health” (CBH-EUR-GS), CBH GS, Arcane, and GRAL have launched a common call for PhD projects. A researcher can only apply to one of the 3 funding bodies, with specific rules for each, which you can read here.
GRAL will fund up to 6 PhD projects (3-yr salary for a PhD student + 10k€ per year funding for PhD operating costs) in the fields of integrated structural and cellular biology, to start in autumn 2021.
The call is open to the GRAL community and must fit the scientific scopes of GRAL as described on GRAL’s website. The number of submitted projects is limited, relatively to the size of each research institute (BioSanté : 3 projects, CBM : 2, IBS : 8, PCV : 3). Applications from young scientists are encouraged. Proposals for joint funding of PhD salaries by other organizations (half grant) will also be considered. The prime criteria for selection will be the scientific excellence and coherence of the proposal, and the experience and track record of the project coordinator.
